VCs will be looking for two types of compatibility in your team.

First, they will want to see that you and your partners can work together. If you and your partners have a falling out during the infancy of the company, VCs could lose their investment. As a result, they want to see that you complement each other, work well together and have a relationship that will continue to function even when times get tough.

Second, VCs want to know that they are compatible with your team. A VC once said that the average length of both an investment and a marriage is 7 years. By investing in your company VCs are committing to spend a lot of time with you. If you can't make nice, you probably won't get funding.
